    Description

    We are seeking caring individuals for rewarding part time, one-to-one positions, teaching daily living and community integration skills to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

     

    TheCommunity Habilitation Counselor provides support and skills training to individuals in their homes and also in community settings.

     

    Staff will provide 1:1 assistance with every day living skills (including but not limited to personal hygiene, banking skills, physical fitness, etc.), to maintain or to develop the highest level of independence possible for them.

     

    The staff who work forCommunity Habilitationshould be flexible and self-motivated. Time management skills are definitely important in this position which requires a great deal of independence.

     

    Day hours, after-school, early evening and weekend hours are available forCommunity Habilitation.

     

    HOURS: 4 to 20 flexible hours weekly based of the needs of the individual

     

    STARTING SALARY: $19.78 - $21.76 per hour plus additional shift differentials as applicable

    Minimum Requirements

    + High School Diploma or GED is required

    + Acceptable NYS Driver's License and a reliable vehicle

    + Computer skills
