Provides day-to-day project management of the task forces that develop the endocrine society’s clinical practice guidelines. Task forces are composed of international experts in the field of endocrinology and related specialties who develop recommendations based on the best available scientific evidence. These recommendations guide clinicians in their delivery of high-quality patient care. This position serves as staff liaison to the task forces, manages the guideline development and publication process for each, and ensures efficient task force processes and outcomes. Incumbent in this role will implement process improvements and new developments in guideline methodology under the guidance of the director, clinical practice guidelines. Additionally, this position will assist in other responsibilities such as the development of user-friendly point-of-care-tools, apps, and other products, to ensure wide dissemination of guideline recommendations to our members and other audiences.
What you’ll bring to the job:
+ Bachelor’s degree required
+ 3-5 years experience with evidence-based guideline and/or systematic review development
+ Previous project-management experience essential, preferably in a medical society or other clinical environment
+ Strong project management skills necessary to coordinate the workings of a task force of up to 15 people
+ Ability to work effectively with all multi-disciplinary team members, both internal and external
+ Be highly motivated, results-oriented, and able to prioritize efforts to use limited resources efficiently
+ Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel required; ability to learn new technology as required

What you’ll own:
+ Serve as staff liaison to guideline task forces. Responsibilities include:
+ Track timelines and report progress of task forces to supervisor
+ Facilitate nomination, vetting, and launch process for new task forces
+ Manage conflict of interest review process
+ Schedule and attend task force meetings, develop agendas, action items and progress reports
+ Prepare, edit, and combine draft guideline manuscripts
+ Manage references using EndNote and other online reference managers
+ Identify, track, and follow-up on action items
+ Work with evidence-based review vendor to ensure production and publication of robust systematic review and meta-analysis reports
+ Support guideline methodologists in the implementation of GRADE methodology
+ Organize, attend and facilitate 2-day face-to-face task force meetings
+ Organize, attend and facilitate face-to-face task force meetings at ENDO
+ Facilitate peer review process and resolution of comments
+ Work with graphics team to secure high-quality tables and figures for use in publications
+ Work with medical writer to prepare final guideline manuscript
+ Manage the organization review and approval process
+ Work with publications team to project-manage the copyright, editorial review, and publication processes
+ Work with marketing and communications team to facilitate the production of press releases, journal articles and other promotional vehicles.
+ Implement and improve the guideline development processes outlined in the Standard Operating Procedure, as directed by supervisor
+ Work with supervisor and cross-divisional teams to project-manage the production of user-friendly point-of-care-tools, apps, and other products derived from published guideline documents. Such tools will include:

+ Guideline Key Points
+ Endocrine Society clinical practice guideline app
+ Author Q&As in Endocrine News
+ On-line, certified and uncertified medical education modules
+ Live, didactic education sessions
+ Slide decks for Program Directors and other medical/clinical educators
+ Patient summaries and educational materials
+ Provide secondary support to the Clinical Guidelines Committee and related work groups as assigned by supervisor
+ Other duties as assigned which support the operational and strategic development of the Clinical Practice Guidelines team within the Society.

Compensation
This is a full-time, salaried hybrid position. In-office days are Tuesday and Wednesday. This position offers an anticipated compensation of $70,500 - $84,500 and is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Endocrine Society offers a generous benefits package, including most Federal Holidays off, a health, vision, and dental plan, and a 403B plan with employer match.
Work Location:
This position is located in Washington, DC and walking distance to Metro and major bus lines. The Endocrine Society offers a flexible, hybrid work environment. Employees are expected to work from the office at least 2 days per week to foster our collaborative culture and support cross-functional interaction.
