Job Description:

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience

Work Experiences:

+ 2+ years of related work experience required experience in a retail environment preferred

Skills:

+ Thorough understanding of composition, color theory, imagery, typography, space, scale, and grid systems in print and digital design

+ Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment

+ Self-motivated with the ability to meet and exceed position requirements under minimal direction and supervision, independently and within a team setting

+ Maintain the customer’s perspective as a driving force behind business decisions and activities

+ Demonstrate analytical, organizational, problem solving and creative thinking skills

+ Proficient in applicable digital design tools, including but not limited to: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Sketch Up

Responsibilities:

+ Follow existing brand and style guidelines and contribute to the creation of cohesive company campaigns

+ Partner with Visual Merchandising leadership and Visual Specialists to design concepts for department, seasonal, and storewide graphics and 3D displays. Ability to convert creative concepts into effective and sales driving in store experiences from initial exploration through development, refinement, and final production

+ Assist Visual Specialists with the creation of cohesive looks for all assigned projects and utilize SMART design solutions

+ Prepare, package, and pre-flight (Dots per Inch (DPI), Crop, Spelling) all files for production.

+ Assist in the design, build, and render concepts using 3-D rendering software, Sketch Up to bring designs to life

+ Retouch and edit digital files using color correction, clipping and other current file manipulation and enhancement techniques (Photoshop)

+ Uploads production ready art to vendors for final production of all Visual Creative projects via third party vendor ftp site or other transfer method.

+ Maintains in-house library of production sub straights. Regularly researches new substrate and visual execution opportunities

+ Partners with Visual Merchandising leadership to reviews initial samples and ensures the quality expectations including registration and resolution of artwork produced is matched.

+ Maintains library of all art produced artwork including job bids and final cost.

+ Effectively manage all aspects of a project from start to finish

+ Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures, and safety rules

+ Required to learn company policies, procedures, and safety rules

+ Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Attendance:

+ Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties

+ Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures, and rules governing professional staff behavior

+ Regular attendance required

+ Ability to work flexible hours such as evening, weekends, and holidays as necessary

+ Up to 10% travel may be required
