    Position Summary:

    Responsible for a variety of tasks from

     

    administrative work to patient and physician support tasks at physician

     

    offices, medical clinics and other facilities.

     

    Performs or assists in a variety of medical procedures

     

    and tests in the examination and treatment of patients

     

    ,

     

    including but not limited to vital

     

    signs, procedures, various treatments, administering medications and performing

     

    venipuncture.

     

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

     

    :

     

    1. Obtains and recordspatient medical histories, vital signs, test results and other informationfor medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.

    2. Performs daily administrative activities,including scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and patient medicalrecord maintenance.

    3. Prepares treatment rooms for clinicalexaminations and assists practitioners with medical procedures and otherpatient care.

    4. Delivers compassionate support, attention, andassistance to patients and families.

    5. Ensures compliance with all health careregulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.

    Qualifications:

    _Required:_

    + High schooldiploma or equivalent.

    + Completion of a medicalassistant program or one (1) year of medical assistant experience.

    + BLSCertification.

    _Preferred:_

    + One (1)year of experience in a medical setting.

    + Certificationas a Medical Assistant.
