    Hart & Hickman, PC (H&H) is seeking an experienced Wetlands Professional who is driven, motivated, and passionate about advancing their career.     Key Responsibilities:

    + Conduct wetland and stream delineations.

    + Prepare and submit jurisdictional determination requests, Section 404/401 permit applications, and mitigation plans.

    + Perform ecological assessments, including habitat evaluations and threatened & endangered species surveys.

    + Prepare technical reports, delineation mapping, regulatory submittals, and client presentations.

    + Coordinate with regulatory agencies, clients, and project teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

    + Support environmental site assessments and natural resource evaluations.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Natural Resources, or a related field.

    + 3+ years of experience in wetland delineation, permitting, and regulatory compliance.

    + Experience with creating delineation figures using GIS software.

    + Proficiency in wetland delineation methods (USACE 1987 Wetlands Delineation Manual and Regional Supplements).

    + Proficiency in North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) stream identification manual and stream scoring form.

    + Strong technical writing and communication skills.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field and office settings.

    + Willingness to travel for fieldwork throughout North Carolina.

    + Certifications such as Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) or Wetland Professional in Training (WPIT) are a plus.

    + Completion of the North Carolina DEQ Surface Water Identification Training and Certification (SWITC) course is a plus.
