The Professional Development Program (PDP) of the University at Albany's Rockefeller College seeks a service-minded individual who is committed to performing high-quality work to fill a Training Program Coordinator position in PDP's Department of Temporary Assistance Training located in Albany, NY.
Description of Duties:
Under direction of the Department Manager, position oversees and directs project activities of professional adult education and training, curriculum development, and instructional design project teams, as well as serves as an instructional design, curriculum development/writing, and training specialist and liaison to project sponsors and other stakeholders to meet contract deliverables in support of current NYS policy initiatives. Duties include, but are not limited to:
+ Coordinating and implementing a variety of adult education and training curricula and programs, including in-person classroom training, online/virtual classroom training, e-learning, and self-paced educational and performance support materials.
+ Coordinating individual and team project activities, including making training and development assignments, monitoring activities, and providing performance coaching and mentoring.
+ Assuring quality of all educational, training, and written materials and conformance with project objectives.
+ Supervising and evaluating project staff.
+ Using a performance-based instructional design and training model (e.g., ADDIE/ISD) to design, develop/write, and revise training programs and related materials.
+ Developing, reviewing, and preparing curricula, training materials, needs assessment and program evaluation tools, correspondence, reports, proposals, and project-related documents.
+ Serving as a Master Trainer and conducting training using in-person, online/virtual, and e-learning methodologies at the project sponsor's request or as necessary.
+ Serving as liaison to project sponsors, trainees, and other stakeholders.
+ Maintaining records, including project management, instructional design, and training implementation plans.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Current Research Foundation for SUNY, University at Albany, or SUNY employee.
+ Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE, or an internationally recognized accrediting organization and minimum 5 years of experience designing/developing adult training curriculum and implementing adult training programs (in-person, online/virtual, and e-learning), OR Master's degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE, or an internationally recognized accrediting organization and minimum 3 years of experience designing/developing adult training curriculum and implementing adult training programs (in-person, online/virtual, and e-learning).
+ Two years of experience supervising staff and coaching, motivating, and developing skills of staff.
+ Excellent writing, speaking, training, and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Thorough knowledge of adult learning principles, in-person and virtual classroom adult training methods, and instructional design and development methods.
+ Experience using a performance-based instructional design and training model (e.g., ADDIE/ISD) to design, develop, and implement training programs.
+ Demonstrated ability to prepare curricula, reports, proposals, and project management, instructional design, and training implementation plans in conformance with project objectives.
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively write, critique, as well as instruct staff on developing written products.
+ Demonstrated ability to research, interpret, and develop subject matter expertise with state policy, regulation, or law or material of a complex and technical nature.
+ Working knowledge of the NYS social service delivery system and public welfare programs or experience in the delivery of specific public welfare programs, such as Temporary Assistance, SNAP, Employment & Advancement Services, and HEAP, or experience with the administrative/fair hearings process, welfare fraud investigations, and audit/quality improvement initiatives.
+ Strong team and customer orientation.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Demonstrated ability to successfully work under pressure as well as effectively manage multiple tasks and work on multiple projects with competing priorities/deadlines in shared staff resource setting.
+ Experience using Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft products (including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Edge, SharePoint, and Teams), and document and presentation templates.

+ Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
+ Ability to work variable days and work hours and travel regularly throughout NYS to deliver training and attend programs and meetings, including travel to areas that may not be served by public transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master's degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE or an internationally recognized accrediting organization in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Adult Education, English, Communications, or related field.
+ Additional experience in staff supervision, instructional design, and training project management.
+ Experience using FS Pro for Word.
+ Experience using e-learning or webinar products (e.g., Webex, Zoom, Teams) to implement adult education or training programs.
+ Experience delivering training to adults.
+ Experience working within a state or county social services agency or human services organization.
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $83,000 - $84,500 (annual)
