• Structural Project Engineer - Bridge

    Quiddity (Bellaire, TX)


    + Manage the planning and structural design for multiple public and private Clients such as TxDOT, Counties and Cities and MUD's across Texas.

    + Perform and oversee structural design of bridges, water and wastewater plants, junction boxes, and retaining walls.

    + Perform QC or QA reviews, and working with other staff in completing projects

    + Work with/mentor EIT's and interns.

    + Attends design meetings and interacts with clients at his or her level of experience to develop client relationships.

    + May require field-based activities like coordination with construction services, inspections and/or reviewing sites with client groups.

    + Manage/Oversee the quality, timeliness, and financial aspects of projects including the development of scope, budgets and proposals necessary for contract negotiations.

    + Partner with senior staff throughout the firm in maintaining and developing client relationships.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus or a related engineering or science field.

    + Master's degree preferred.

    + 5+ years of experience designing concrete bridges for transportation projects and preparing plans and specifications for clients such as TxDOT, cities, counties, and tolling authorities

    + Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas.

    + Valid TX driver’s license and insurable driving record.

    + Proficient with structural engineering software including BGS, OpenBridge Designer, STAAD, Robot, Bridge Link, Leap Bridge preferred.
