A NIH-funded postdoctoral position is open in the Lab of Dr. Yingzi Xiong at the Lions Vision Research and Rehabilitation Center, Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore Maryland, USA. The position is available immediately.
Selected candidate will participate in research combining vision psychophysics and computer vision to develop computational models for assessing the visual accessibility of objects and environmental features for individuals with vision impairment.
The Lions Vision Research and Rehabilitation Center houses clinical and research branches that work closely in clinical care and research innovation. This position offers a unique opportunity for researchers interested in translational work related to vision science and vision impairment, and to work with clinicians and patients .
The position is renewed annually for up to four years with the possibility to extend
+ Candidates with Ph.D. degrees in fields relevant to vision science are encouraged to apply.
+ Ideal candidates should be well-trained in vision psychophysical studies, experimental design, human behavior data collection, and statistics.
+ Scientific writing skills are essential.
+ Experience with computer vision is not required but desirable.
Salary: $62,132 - $74,088
