    Required Skills:

    Database Engineer Responsibilities:

    1. Scalability, robustness and quality of enterprise infrastructure systems, which involves a complete mix of databases, applications and infrastructure toolsets.

    2. Work on a team of highly technical and talented database engineers responsible for maintaining the global database systems for Enterprise Engineering.

    3. Performance monitoring & tuning, backup & recovery of the databases and associated applications.

    4. Improve and optimize database administration and management with coding and automation.

    5. Support day-to-day operations and escalations of the database systems.

    6. Manage geographically dispersed infrastructure, DR environments and docker containers.

    7. Contribute to meeting KPIs and SLAs through management of task queues.

    8. Support large-scale global disaster recovery exercises while working closely with other infrastructure, production and business teams at Meta.

    9. Responsible for troubleshooting, faultisolation and communication across the infrastructure, applications and business teams.

    10. Provide Technical design documentation, installation guide, best practices and weekly project.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    12. Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and three years of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.

    13. Requires three years of experience in the following:

    14. 1. Working in environments such as Oracle, Mongo DB, or MS SQL servers

    15. 2. Working with Oracle Exadata, Golden Gate, RAC, ASM, Data guard and RMAN

    16. 3. Proficiency in operating application stack environments such as Hyperion, Agile, Oracle Fusion, Oracle EBS, UiPath, or Vertex

    17. 4. Installing and managing container orchestration services, especially Kubernetes

    18. 5. Administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as GIT, Jira, GitLab, or Jenkins

    19. 6. Building multiple layers of security around applications including building DMZ, reverse proxy, Firewalls, NAT, Port, Subnetting, VPC, and VPNs

    20. 7. Proficiency in Python and Shell and any other languages used in system tooling (e.g. Ruby, Perl)

    21. 8. Configuration management tools such as Ansible and Chef, AND

    22. 9. Proficiency in working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Amazon Web Services Cloud environments.

    Public Compensation:

    $180,403/year to $186,120/year + bonus + equity + benefits
