Description

Join UCLA West Valley Medical Center as a Clinical Dietitian and play a vital role in providing exceptional medical nutrition therapy to inpatient areas across a variety of specialties.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, develop care plans, and provide ongoing monitoring and reassessment.

+ Educate patients and provide appropriate referrals for continued care post-discharge.

+ Perform Nutrition-Focused Physical Exams (NFPE) and assess malnutrition.

+ Collaborate with dietetic technicians, food service staff, nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

+ Participate in departmental initiatives, performance improvement activities, meetings, and patient care rounds.

+ Provide coverage across various units based on department needs, rather than a fixed assignment.

Salary Range: $38.96-$51.39 HourlyQualifications

Required:

+ Registered Dietitian with 4 years of experience or Registered Dietician with 2 years of experience and a Master's degree.

+ Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RD/RDN) registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Commission on Dietetic Registration.

+ Understanding of food service systems, menu planning, and food safety, to ensure that patients receive appropriate meals during their stay.

+ Proficiency in conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments, including interpreting lab results and understanding the patient's current and past medical history.

Preferred:

+ Acute care experience
