Job Summary and Qualifications

Our cardiovascular services teams are caring individuals committed to providing the highest quality care. We are looking for a new EKG Technician. Our EKG or Stress Tech will perform standard EKG, EEG, Holter Monitor, stress testing and non-invasive vascular procedures. You will maintain department and patient records and provide directpatientcaretopatientsofallages.

Duties and responsibilities include:

+ Interprets Rhythms and Arrhythmias.

+ Reports all changes in heart rate/rhythm to appropriate nursing staff.

+ Maintains Telemetry supplies and equipment.

+ Records patient condition utilizing computerized documentation systems.

+ Performs duties with full understanding of related age specific factors.

+ Orients and mentors new staff members.

+ Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Qualifications

+ High school or GED

+ Successful completion of 16 hour EKG course within 90 days of employment

+ 1 years’ experience required hospital setting preferred

+ BLS (American Heart Association)

+ Must be able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds
