BluePearl Pet Hospital** **is** **seeking** **a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician to join their fast-paced** **I** **nternal** **M** **edicine department specializing in Radioactive Iodine (I-131) Therapy.

As an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technicians, you are a liaison between our internists and our clients regarding patient histories, care instructions, lab results, patient updates, and other topics as requested by the doctors. You will be involved with client contact through phone calls, email, and in person conversations. Additionally, you will be assisting with I-131 therapy treatments, endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, filling prescriptions, taking x rays, and obtaining lab samples. Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills required.

As an IM Veterinary** **Technician,** **you will...

+ Set up constant rateinfusions(CRI).

+ Calculates allmedical mathincluding advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg,etc.).

+ Induce,monitorand recoveranesthesia

+ Set up forultrasound,radiologyprocedures, andI-131 therapytreatments.

+ Set up andassistwith endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway). Clean andmaintainequipment following procedure.

+ Discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basicclient educationsuch as insulin injection, SQ fluid, andfeeding tubedemonstrations.

+ Additionaljob duties as assigned.
