Responsibilities

+ Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Linux servers and related systems.

+ Perform regular updates, patches, and system upgrades to ensure the security and stability of Linux servers.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to Linux systems.

+ Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and reliability.

+ Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

+ Ensure data security and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

+ Collaborate with other IT team members to integrate Linux systems with existing infrastructure and services.

+ Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.

+ Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects related to Linux technologies.

+ Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions for Linux servers.

+ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

+ Minimum of four (4) years of experience administering and maintaining Linux operating systems, with a focus on Red Hat Linux.

+ Current certification as a Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA).

+ Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is desirable.

+ Experience with virtualization technologies such as Nutanix, VMware, or Microsoft Hyper-V.

+ Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, including shell scripting and automation tools.

+ Solid understanding of network protocols, security practices, and troubleshooting techniques.

+ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

+ Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

+ Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

+ Familiarity with enterprise-level backup and recovery solutions.

+ Experience with database administration (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).

Estimated Salary/Wage

USD $100,000.00/Yr. Up to USD $120,000.00/Yr.
