    **Position Overview** :

    + We are seeking a motivated and experienced PCBA Product Test Engineer to support PCBA and product test equipment within the Energy Management / Digital Energy sector.

    + This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of test development and deployment, ensuring all project deliverables are met on time and within budget while adhering to quality objectives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Ensure product designs comply with DFM, DFA, and DFT guidelines by engaging early in the product development process.

    + Develop specifications for product test and equipment.

    + Create and execute equipment and process qualification plans.

    + Supervise manufacturing prototype and pilot runs at electronic contract manufacturers.

    + Oversee the design, deployment, and qualification of test equipment.

    + Prepare and manage detailed, task-driven schedules for equipment development.

    + Estimate resource needs and costs for test equipment development.

    + Maintain and update all technical documentation.

    + Actively contribute to problem-solving initiatives related to manufacturing and quality issues.

    + Qualifications:

    + Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.

    + 10+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing or production environments.

    + Minimum 3 to 5+ years of experience in new product development.

    + Strong understanding of test strategies for electrical and electronic products used in industrial controls and distribution equipment.

    + Knowledge of PCB assembly processes including wave solder, reflow solder, SMT, and PTH technologies.

    + Proficiency with DOE, SPC, and Six Sigma principles.

    + Experience designing and troubleshooting industrial control systems.

    + Hands-on experience deploying automated control systems, debugging hardware and software.

    + Familiarity with communication protocols such as RS232 and Ethernet.

    + Competence with electronic laboratory instruments, including programmable power supplies and data acquisition devices.

    Technical Requirements:

    + General understanding of system design software (e.g., LabVIEW, TestStand, C#, etc.).

    + Proficient in relational database architecture.

    + Strong Windows skills and knowledge of cybersecurity principles.

    + Experience with schematic capture/PCB generation in CAD software (AutoCAD preferred).

    + Exposure to test equipment architectures (VXI, PXI, Rack and Stack, etc.).

    + Knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet, CAN, SPI, etc.).

    + Solid understanding of digital, analog, power, and high voltage electronic circuits.

    + Proficient with lab instruments and methodologies (power sources, scopes, precision meters, etc.).

    + Experience with electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

    + Familiarity with UL61010-1 Standard, NFPA 79, National Electric Code, and OSHA NRTL certification requirements for manufacturing test systems design.

    + Understanding of electrical safe work practices.

    + In-circuit test experience using Teradyne or Agilent platforms.

    + Familiarity with DfM/DfT tools such as Testway and Valor.

    Additional Details:

    + No travel required; all work will take place onsite at the Fairfield Facility.

    + Strong facilitation skills for troubleshooting and problem-solving.

    + Comfortable working with minimal supervision.
