    BayCare is currently in search of our newest **Pediatric and Congenital Cardiac Sonographer** who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. BayCare’s top priority is the health and well-being of our communities as Tampa Bay's leading multi-specialty group with more than 600 providers practicing 45 specialties in over 175 outpatient locations throughout the Tampa Bay and west central Florida regions.

     

    + **Status:** Full Time

    + Shift Days/Hours: Mon thru Fri 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (May Vary)

    + **Location:** St Petersburg, FL

    + **Weekend Work:** None

    + **On Call:** No

    + Always in person

    + **Travel required to Tampa and Sarasota when needed**

    Responsibilities:

    + Perform clinical and diagnostic echocardiograms and pediatric and adult congenital cardiac patient’s inpatient, outpatient and procedural settings and for assisting in other areas of the Pediatric Non-Invasive Lab.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    + Required - BLS (Basic Life Support)

    + Required - RDCS (Sonography) - within 1 year; Or - RCS (Sonography) - within 1 year.

    + Required - Technical; Preferred - Associates - Related Field

    + Required 6 months of Echocardiology experience

    + Required 6 months of Pediatric experience

    + **Travel required to Tampa and Sarasota when needed**

    Highly Preferred skills:

    + Ability to document and record cardiac pathology in order for the physician to render a diagnosis

    + Ability to work independently as a care team member

    + Professional interaction with team members

    + Effective communication skills, detailed oriented and ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances

    + Ability to recognize a variety of different types of cardiac defects and demonstrate the ability to tailor the exam based on the defect and patient cooperation
