Job Overview:

Required Certifications and Licenses:

+ Active Registered Nurse License in NJ.

+ Masters prepared in Nursing from an accredited program.

+ BLS from the American Heart Association required.

+ ACLS certification required.

+ RNFA completion or enrolled in a RNFA program upon hire.

+ 1-2 years of recent adult or acute care with OR experience.

Scheduling Requirements:

+ Full time, Days

+ 9.5 hours

+ 7a-5p

+ On call requirement

Essential Functions:

+ Assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon in the Perioperative care of the patient undergoing a surgical experience

+ The RNFA/NP uses the nursing process in the formulation of the plan of care,

+ The RNFA functions within the policies and guidelines established by the facility and reports directly to the OR Leadership

+ The RNFA is an expanded role of the registered nurse/APN and is accountable for exemplifying leadership and professionalism in the implementation of the role
