Title: Senior Formulations Scientist -Meat/Poultry/Protein Seasoning

Type: Full Time, Salaried with benefits

Schedule: Monday-Friday Day Hours

Overview:

Privately owned Company is seeking an experienced Food Scientist to join their team! In this role, you will be provide scientific and technical knowledge

Responsibilities:

+ Lead projects from ideation to commercialization

+ Formulate, modify, and cost-reduce food products

+ Solve technical challenges in flavor development and applications

+ Replicate existing products and flavors

+ Conduct basic product analyses (salt, moisture, pH, granulations)

+ Maintain accurate records and data

+ Perform sensory evaluations

+ Participate in R&D and cross-functional meetings

+ Apply customer product/process knowledge to projects

+ Write and interpret reports, research records, and manuals

+ Present findings to stakeholders

+ Provide technical expertise to internal and external customers

+ Develop intellectual property ideas

+ Evaluate ingredient sourcing, costing, and qualifications

+ Guide Jr. Scientists, technologists, and technicians

+ Stay updated on food trends and technology

+ Support the Director of Culinary as needed

Requirements:

+ B.S. in Food Science, Food Engineering, or related field

+ 5+ years in seasoning, sauce, batter/breader, or meat system formulation

+ 1+ years in meat science and plant commercialization

+ Proactive with strong organization skills

+ Excellent communication and presentation abilities

+ Experience writing/reviewing technical procedures & regulations

+ Strong sensory evaluation skills (taste & smell)

+ Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting
