    Position Title: Sr. Technology Engineer - Service Now

     

    Position Location: Pittsburgh, PA , Hybrid 3 days onsite

     

    Duration: 6 Months Contract to Hire

    Job Summary:

    Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions. Leads in the development of the most complex new and emerging technologies and selects appropriate platforms, integrates and configures solutions.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Perform design tasks and develop components of application and technical architecture

    • Develop test cases and data

    • Execute tests for the application or technical architecture components, work with other programmers, designers, and architects to meet application requirements and performance goals, participate in code reviews, inform the technical architect and project manager of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project, fix any defects and performance problems discovered in testing, document the application to facilitate maintenance.

    • Assists with selecting appropriate platforms, integrates and configures solutions.

    • Develops software components and hardware for new and emerging technology projects; aligns these with business strategies and objectives.

    • May provide consultation on common issues and best practices for junior staff.

    • Provides a systematic analysis on client requirements within the traceability framework and resolves any functional problems encountered.

    • Ensures quality of project deliverables while maintaining compliance with relevant standards and processes.

    Skills:

    • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work independently and manage ones time.

    • Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.

    • Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.

    • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software.

    • Knowledge of computer development software across multiple platforms.

    Education/Experience:

    • High School Degree and Bachelors degree (computer science, software engineering, or relevant field) or equivalent work experience required.

    • 6-8 years experience required

    Flex Skills/Nice to Have:

    ITOM & Discovery - Experience in Configuration into CMDB, Custom Probes & Sensors, MID Server Configurations, IP Range Creation, Service Mapping, Service Gap Connectors

    Service Graph & Mapping - Experience in Service Mapping Implementation, CI Relationship Management

    Configurations - Experience in Configuration of ITBM, HRSD, CSM. Creating Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI & Data Policies, UI Scripts, UI Actions, Script Includes, Access Control Lists

     

    Integration & Automation - Experience in ServiceNow Integration but not limited to Salesforce, WorkDay, Ping, CyberArk, HAM, SAM, Azure, Dynatrace, Splunk

     

    Performance Analytics - Design & Implementation of Dashboard, Reports

     

    ITSM - Experience working on Change, Incident, Demand, Portfolio, Knowledge, Problem management

     

    Migration & Upgrade - ServiceNow version upgrade, Use of ATF, Update set migration between lower env instances

    Soft Skills:

    Communication

    Education/Certifications:

    ServiceNow System Administration Certified preferred, degree not required
