Our growing DBP division sees children with a broad spectrum of developmental and behavioral issues, ranging from infancy through age 21. Our clinical team consists of developmental pediatricians, nurse practitioners, a neuropsychologist, psychologist, social worker, and nurse. As a psychologist in our division, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide psychotherapeutic treatment to patients. You will also be involved in teaching and training, providing essential learning opportunities and clinical experiences to local doctoral students, medical residents, and colleagues. Additional clinical opportunities include offering group therapy, such as social skills groups, and there may be additional opportunities to provide therapy or consultation services elsewhere within our multidisciplinary programs within the Department of Pediatrics at UM, which includes a broad range of medical specialties. You will also have the responsibility for referrals to other services within the Department, as children with neurodevelopmental disabilities often require a team of specialists to reach their full potential. Faculty members are also provided with a range of educational opportunities, including our Department’s Grand Rounds lecture series that features speakers at a national and international level. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
