Job Description

**AECOM** is actively seeking a talented **Rail Systems / Catenary Enginee** r for employment within the **New England** region. Here you will have the opportunity to work side by side with career rail professionals throughout the US. delivering projects for transit clients with a focus on electrification and overhead catenary systems or OCS.

Responsibilities and typical duties:

+ Be an integral part of our WORLD CLASS RAIL DESIGN group.

+ Develop overhead catenary systems layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams and technical specifications.

+ Perform quality control reviews and design checks of railroad projects.

+ Lead major tasks.

+ Ensure compliance with all federal, state & local regulations Overhead Catenary System (OCS).

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

+ BS Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

+ Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation, OpenRoads or OpenRail.

+ Valid Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must have a Valid Driver's License and pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Professional Engineer (PE ).

+ 10 years' experience in railway systems (Overhead Catenary Systems/Traction Power).

+ Experience working with Connecticut Department of Transportation, Metro-North Railroad, Amtrak, MBTA, or other passenger/commuter railroad agencies.

+ Work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $92,000.00 - $150,000.00.
