    Position Summary:

    Assists professional nursing staff by performing specific patient care tasks.

    Qualifications:

    A. Education:

     

    High school graduate or equivalent.

     

    + CNA - Will be listed with the Texas Department of Health

     

    Nurse Aid Registry.

     

    + NA – Completion of MCHS NA training and/or verification of

     

    competence.

     

    B. Training and Experience:

     

    BLS Certification through the American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire or transfer to department.

     

    C. Job Knowledge:

     

    The certified nursing assistant/nursing assistant must have the ability to follow instructions precisely.
