• Laser Safety Officer/ Technical Coordinator

    Medical Center Hospital (Odessa, TX)


    Position Summary:

    Assists the Director of Surgical Operations/ACNO with the responsibility and accountability for the management and coordination of the Technical processes of the unit. Emphasis on independent decision making related to the technology and laser safety. Demonstrates the ability to provide consistent direction for all technology planning, organizing, implementing and evaluation of metrics with the nursing directors and ACNO.

    Education:

    High School graduate. Associate Degree preferred. One to two years’ experience in Clinical Engineering.

    Training and Experience:

    + Minimal Lift required annually.

    + Annual presentation on Laser Safety.

    + Demonstrate appropriate leadership skills within (3) months of hire or transfer to department.

    Preferred Training and Certification:

    Laser Safety Officer course and certificate.
