About the job:
The Manager of Nursing Excellence is a transformational nurse leader, who partners with senior nursing leaders to lead complex programs that define nursing excellence. In addition, the manager oversees the successful organizational designation for ANCC Magnet© status and other external designations that define nursing excellence. The manager may oversee licensed and unlicensed staff, as well as has financial accountability for programs that fall under the umbrella of nursing excellence. Additionally, the manager oversees complex data sets (external benchmarks, quality, safety, experience, and engagement data) as well as external programs that oversee and govern nursing excellence, such as the AACN Magnet program, award, and recognition. The manager operates the nursing excellence program guided by the organization's mission, vision, and values and role models Trinity’s values.
+ In partnership with the chief nursing officer, designs and implements the strategy for nursing excellence that aligns with the ANCC Magnet© model.
+ Works collaboratively with a wide range of quality improvement teams, physicians, nurses, and other stakeholders to develop structures that achieve ANCC Magnet requirements.
+ Supports the chief nursing officer as the leadership liaison for effective and evidence based professional governance structures, and ensures the activities are nursing governance is well documented.
+ Accountable for highly detailed and complex document tracking that meets all requirements for the ANCC Magnet© designation.
+ Effectively communicates with direct care through executive leaders on the value and importance of nursing excellence as it relates to engagement and patient outcomes.
+ Promotes (and leads) nursing research, evidence based practice, and quality improvement; additionally actively takes step to disseminate best practice examples internally and externally (conference, publications, etc).
+ Oversees colleagues directly and indirectly that contribute to nursing sensitive indicators and/or other quality/safety/experience indicators.
+ Serves as a project manager for a wide range of nursing reward and recognition activities Effectively communicates both quantitative and qualitative outcomes in writing, visually, and through various speaking engagements.
+ Works collaboratively with a broad range of teams, including finance, HR, data analytics, quality, safety, risk, infection prevention to communicate nursing strategy and to align the organization with nursing excellence goals.
Requirements:
**Education:** Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
**Preferred** : Master's degree in Nursing.
**Licensure:** Current Registered Nurse License State of Indiana
**Experience:** 3 - 5 years of clinical practice as an RN is required.
**Preferred:** Clinical experience in an ANCC Magnet© designated organization.
