Your Role:
+ Develop and implement social service programs tailored to the needs of our senior residents.
+ Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure comprehensive care and support for residents.
+ Manage and mentor a team of social workers and support staff.
+ Evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
+ Advocate for residents' needs and rights, ensuring access to necessary resources and services.
+ Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for social service programs.
+ Facilitate educational workshops and support groups for residents and their families.
+ Manages Social Services Department's performance improvement activities in accordance with NLCS standards and other regulatory agency requirements.
+ Ensures compliance as required.
+ Takes lead in developing Social Services department budgets
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Social Work required, Master’s degree in Social Work preferred
+ Licensed Social Worker by the state of assignment (Maryland or Virginia), LCSW-C preferred
+ Five to ten years’ experience, preferably in a long-term care or senior health care environment
+ Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image
+ Must possess strong written and oral communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of information
+ Computer electronic medical record experience is preferred
+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders
+ Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
