    We are hiring for a **Quality Engineering Technician (QE Tech)** located out of our Fridley / Maple Grove, Minnesota prototype facility.

     

    In this exciting role as a QE Tech, you will work closely with Quality Management, Operations, and Engineering, validating compliance to drawing and contractual Quality requirements. You will focus on the operation of a portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM) for inspection at both component and assembly levels. You will perform dimensional, data, and visual inspections on a wide variety of Prototype Network products and processes consisting of manufacturing, assembly, test, and receiving inspection. Supporting on the prototype shop floor, you'll collaborate with multiple internal customers while upholding safe working standards and using required PPE.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Typically requires a High School diploma and four (4) years Quality related experience, or an Associates degree plus two (2) years experience, or the overall equivalent;

    + Must be capable in performing inspection duties to quality requirements, and inspection instructions;

    + Experienced in GD&T, with knowledge and expertise in blueprint interpretation;

    + Knowledge and hands-on experience using measurement and test equipment and familiar with calibration recall processes to ensure product conformance;

    + Expertise setting up, programming, and operating a portable coordinate measuring machine (probe, laser tracker and scan);

    + Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, to effectively liaison, interface, and collaborate with engineers, shop technicians, procurement, management, and the customer pertaining to product and process issues;

    + Ability to generate concise problem description of non-conforming situations with detail and accuracy;

    + Competency to create non-conformance documentation in accordance with company policy and procedure(s);

    + Experience working within a manufacturing environment (prototype preferred), and specifically, with fully integrated vehicle systems;

    + Must be comfortable working in, around, and on large equipment;

    + Capable of performing shop-process and product inspections / audits including:

    + Fabrication / machining

    + Manufactured parts

    + Receiving and surface plate

    + Computer skills to include MS Office and related industry software applications. (Experience with Polyworks software preferred.);

    + Must be able to uphold safety policies and procedures, including PPE requirements and Job Safe Practices.

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Familiar with Polyworks software;

    + Familiar with weld inspection;

    + Potential / Willingness to perform mobility inspections on wheeled/track vehicles which may include a DOT physical, if required;

    + Familiarization with overall QMS (Quality Management Systems);

    + Experience working within ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Management System(s) preferred;

    + Experience with calibration gage tooling recall;

    + Vehicle/Top Level level assembly & integration;

    + Electrical harness and component inspection;

    + Computer tools experience (Oracle, TIPQA, etc.).

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $64723 - $103557

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
