    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    As a Maintenance Mechanic II, you will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital equipment and building components. You will help diagnose problems, offer solutions, and act to ensure the safety, care, and comfort of staff and patients. You will set an example in professionalism and workmanship.

     

    + You will perform a variety of skilled maintenance, alteration and repairs to machinery, equipment or facilities as assigned and in accordance with basic skills and abilities, standard procedures, diagrams, or manufacturer’s instructions

    + You will perform preventive maintenance on hospital equipment

    + You will execute miscellaneous work orders and answer trouble calls

    + You will assume responsibility for the proper operation of the facility on evening, night, or weekend shifts

    + You will be skilled in maintaining hospital equipment and building components

    Job Qualifications

    Experience

    + Two to three years’ experience in a large commercial building or healthcare facility

    Education

    + High school education or equivalent

    + Degree from trade or technical school – preferred

    Licenses and Certifications

    + Certified “Backflow Prevention Device” Tester – preferred
