    About the Automotive Technician Position

     

    As an Automotive Technician with MPC Bus Corp, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing paratransit vehicles to ensure safety and reliability. Key responsibilities include:

     

    + Performing preventive maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections.

    + Diagnosing and repairing brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.

    + Completing work orders accurately and efficiently.

    + Assisting with mobile emergency repairs as needed.

    Automotive Mechanic Qualifications

    + Valid driver’s license required –must obtain a CDL class C (training provided!)

    + 3 or more years of experience in automotive or diesel maintenance & repair OR equivalent technical school training

    + Must have a personal mechanic’s tool set

    + Willingness to participate in ASE certification program – training, testing, and bonuses provided!

    + Subject to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive employee (DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason).
