Job Description

General Purpose:

SEMO Tank (owned by Dairy Farmers of America) sells, leases, and repairs tank trailers and offers a vast inventory of related parts for sale.

Ensure outstanding customer service by way of quick turn-around of orders while maintaining inventory accuracy within the business. Coordinate the timely processing of incoming shipments, confirming physical receipt of items to PO’s and packing slips and appropriately warehousing the items for later retrieval.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Provide outstanding service by ensuring customer orders are processed both timely and accurately and that any customer concerns are addressed promptly by all members of the team

+ Assist all departments in locating and delivering parts to the appropriate areas within the company

+ Unload and unpack incoming shipments and identify items for accuracy and correct quantities

+ Prepare packages for shipment and create shipment documents

+ Determine best methods of shipment

+ Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments

+ Consolidate shipping orders

+ Identify and assemble product hose assemblies

+ Work in conjunction with SEMO’s Purchasing & Inventory Manager to ensure inventory accuracy

+ Work in conjunction with SEMO’s Purchasing & Inventory Manager to identify and correct inventory deficiencies

+ Attend departmental training, such as safety and equipment training

+ Possess sufficient strength and physical dexterity (as specified in the physical demands and work environment section of this job description) to perform the duties and responsibilities of this job

+ Wear required PPE at all times and observe health, safety, and environmental policies

+ Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment

Minimum Requirements:

_Education and Experience_

+ High School Diploma or GED required

+ Prior forklift operating experience preferred

+ Experience using a barcode scanner in a warehouse setting preferred

+ SAP or other ERP system experience preferred

+ Certification and/or license – N/A
