Cummins Behavioral Health Systems, Inc.  is currently seeking a professional for a full time position as Credentialing Specialist at our administrative office in Avon, Indiana.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Chief Compliance Officer, the Credentialing Specialist performs essential functions pertaining to credentialing and re-credentialing providers and the organization with third party contracts. This includes verifying qualifications, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions:

Regular and reliable attendance is necessary to perform the following essential functions of the position.

• Completes credentialing and re-credentialing applications for providers and the organization for third party contracts timely and accurately.

• Verify provider qualifications, including education, training, licensure, and certifications.

• Tracks and reports on the status of credentialing and re-credentialing on a routine basis.

• Communicate with providers, insurance companies, and regulatory agencies to resolve credentialing issues.

• Maintains a good working relationship with other staff members throughout the organization.

• Adherence to and promotion of the Corporate Compliance Program at Cummins Behavioral Health Systems, Inc.

Training and Development:

Participates in continuing education programs and in-service training consistent with internal standards or as deemed appropriate to increase personal and professional effectiveness and improve the service quality provided to the people we serve.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in credentialing or a related field.

• Knowledge of credentialing standards and regulatory requirements.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
