Physical Therapy Assistant - Full Time - Days - RNC

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Staff Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for administering physical therapy modalities of treatment.

Core Job Responsibilities

+ Responsible for providing treatment as directed by the staff Physical Therapist

+ Observe and evaluate treatment effect, discusses observations with staff

+ Assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation

+ Perform components of an appropriate assessment on all patients

+ Assists with formulation of a teaching plan

+ Coordinates and assists with patient care to ensure patient’s needs are met

+ Maintains records pertinent to personnel and operation of the department and accurately reflects condition/status of the patient

+ Keeps patient schedule board or book current

+ Perform other duties as required.

Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:

+ Graduate of an accredited college of physical therapist assistant program

+ Possess a certification from the State of New York
