    As aCookat 40North/Villa Restaurant Group, you will play a key role in preparing high-quality dishes for our Guests, following established recipes and maintaining food safety standards. You will work as part of a culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Food Preparation:Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes, portion sizes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.

    + Recipe Adherence:Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistent food quality, taste, and appearance.

    + Food Safety:Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food storage, handling, and temperature maintenance.

    + Station Setup:Set up and organize workstations with all necessary ingredients, utensils, and cooking equipment.

    + Cooking Techniques:Utilize various cooking methods, such as grilling, frying, sautéing, baking, and broiling, to prepare dishes to order.

    + Quality Control:Inspect food products for quality, freshness, and taste to maintain high culinary standards.

    + Timing:Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure that all dishes are prepared and served promptly and simultaneously.

    + Cleanliness:Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including proper cleaning of cooking equipment and utensils.

    + Menu Knowledge:Stay informed about menu items, daily specials, and any allergen information to assist Guests with menu choices.

    + Teamwork:Collaborate with kitchen staff, including chefs, sous chefs, and fellow cooks, to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

    + Communication:Communicate effectively with Team Members and front-of-house staff to ensure accurate and efficient order preparation.

    What You’ll Need:

    + Previous cooking experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred.

    + Knowledge of culinary techniques, including knife skills, food preparation, and cooking methods.

    + Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

    + Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

    + Positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and a willingness to assist fellow kitchen staff.

    + Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Standing and working in a fast-paced kitchen environment for extended periods.

    + Lifting and carrying heavy pots, pans, and trays.

    + Bending, stooping, and reaching.
