• Maintenance Mechanic

    Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (St. Johnsbury, VT)


    The Plant Operations department at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) seeks an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to enhance our skilled team. Our state-of-the-art facility relies on a dedicated workforce that provides a variety of general, mechanical, and preventive maintenance as well as inspections and servicing of the hospital buildings and grounds.

    What you’ll do day to day:

    + Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues; perform maintenance, repairs, or parts replacements as needed.

    + Conduct regular inspections of mechanical rooms to ensure optimal operation of HVAC systems and medical support equipment.

    + Carry out general building maintenance and repair tasks across hospital facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

    + Perform winter grounds maintenance, including snow removal and ice control using appropriate equipment.

    + Assist in moving heavy furniture and equipment as required for maintenance tasks.

    Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + At least five years of experience in construction or maintenance manufacturing

    + Valid driver’s license and experience operating a plow truck
