    Job Summary

    The Associate Director provides direct clinical services to students. The Associate Director assists the Executive Director in providing leadership and managerial oversight of the clinical functions of the Student Health Center. This position will also assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + An MD or DO Degree from an accredited institution

    + License to practice in New York State

    + Board Certification or Eligibility(or equivalent experience) in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics or Emergency Medicine with a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the practice of medicine

    + Eligibility for assignment under the credentialing process outlined in the student Health Service By-laws

    + Training, licensure and experience in dealing with a wide variety of primary care medical conditions and illnesses

     

    Applicants must meet stated education and experience requirements.

     

    Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

     

    + Requires strong clinical skills and judgment

    + Requires strong communication skill

    + Requires demonstrated ability to supervise the staff

    Starting Salary/Rate

     

    Expected hiring range: $190,000 - $210,000

     

    Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
