    Lakeshore Beverage is looking for employees who are wiling to work hard and learn our business. We have a solid history of promoting from within and the work in the warehouse can prepare you for a delivery or sales department opportunity, as well as an opportunity for upward growth with the the warehouse department.

     

    Warehouse trainees learn out beverage products, which include beers, liquors, ciders, and waters. And they prepare orders forcustomers that go out on our delivery trucks. The work requires frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting of beverage products. Manual dexterity, coordination, and mobility are required. This is a position that requires a high level of personal fitness to meet the physical demands of the job.

     

    This is a Monday through Thursday position, starting at 5 pm and ending when all orders are picked and all trucks are loaded. 10 to 12 hours shifts and sometimes longer are to be expected, especially as we enter the peak season of warm weather months.

    The successful warehouse trainee will:

    + Select product, build orders, and load trucks accurately and in a timely manner

    + Operate various types of warehouse equipment safely

    + Rotate products into he warehouse to make sure products do not expire

    + Maintain quality control records

    + Clean and organize the facility and make it ready for the next day's work

     

    This job requires acceptable results on a pre-employment background check, drug-test, and physical exam.

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Mist be able to lift up to 60 pounds repetitiously

    + Must be able to walk and stand continuously during the entire shift

    + Must be able to push, pull, squat, and reach

    + Must possess visual acuity to read orders and locate products within the warehouse

    + Ability to learn safe operation of job related equipment (i.e. hand truck, pallet jack, etc.)

    + Ability to work with minimal supervision

    + Ability to work in an environment where temperatures fluctuate
