    Currently Advatech has a position open for a Mechanical Engineer/Project Engineer p roviding engineering support equivalent to Project Engineer, on various Aerospace projects. The engineer should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience with flight control hydraulic actuation design, requirements, and testing.

    Required Qualifications:

    + A minimum of 8 years Project Management experience.

    + Experience Design and Modeling of aircraft mechanical and hydraulic control systems.

    + Demonstrated ability to work independently.

    + Recommending design changes when a component doesn't meet criteria.

    + Generating project schedules and cost estimates.

    + Experience as the primary interface with customers, contractors, and vendors.

    + Experience reviewing other engineers’ work to maintain a high level of quality.

    + Creating presentations and reports to document results.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Must be a self-starter and understand the need for accuracy, timeliness and quality in assigned work tasks.

    + Knowledge of modeling in Catia or NX is highly desirable.

    + Knowledge of GD&T is a plus.

    + Testing and Test Writing Procedures experience is highly desired.

    + Presenting results to customers during project reviews.

    + Experience brainstorming design concepts a plus.

    Education

    + Requires a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.

    + Due to the responsibilities of these positions, customer requirements, and Export Control Information (ECI) all qualified applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
