**Pay Range:** $29.36 - $47.79 per hour

Summary:
Consults, trains, and serves as a collaborative resource for faculty in developing and integrating the use of educational technologies to augment, enhance, and evaluate instructional delivery methods and course-related testing and evaluation Collaborates with other instructional design staff for continuing education and interdisciplinary curricula. Assists in the development of course materials which are functional, intuitive, and consistent with sound instructional design principles. Investigates, tests, implements, teaches formally and informally, and supports educational and productivity software which assists in the delivery of technological options for course delivery. Determines instructional effectiveness of course materials that are developed. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or other related area.
• 4 years of experience in the areas of instructional design techniques, computer-based education and alternative instructional delivery methods required; commitment to keeping abreast of the latest instructional design trends and practices.
• Experience providing support for the physical design of online courses using Blackboard in a higher educational environment.
• Knowledge of software supportive of instructional design such as Respondus and Respondus Lockdown Browser, Camtasia, Articulate, Screencast-o-mataic, Examity; experience working with audio/video files in any format.
• Experience in online testing and evaluation implementation.
• Experience in teaching adult learners.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Ability to manage and meet deadlines.
• Ability to investigate and troubleshoot issues and problems independently and efficiently.
• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills to work effectively with both individuals and groups.
• Ability to work simultaneously on several projects and be able to set priorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with different departments to achieve shared goals
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Experience in the evaluation of online course design.
Responsibilities:
1. Consults with administration, faculty, and staff on design, development and evaluation of instructional programs, materials, methods, and teaching and assessment techniques.
2. Assists faculty in the deployment of online course delivery, including requisite training in the online course software components.
3. Develops and conducts workshops for faculty on various topics and software applications pertaining to instructional delivery methods, functionality of the course management system, and use of technology to enhance curricula; develops instructional materials and other electronic information supporting students and faculty.
4. Consults with individual faculty on computer-based instructional delivery methods including, but not limited to, online learning/education and multimedia.
5. Provides support and design initiatives for technology-related instructional projects.
6. Assists faculty in researching, selecting and evaluating educational software and web-based applications that support university curricula.
7. Participates in continuing education to maintain and update understanding of and knowledge about instructional technologies.
8. Participates in relevant University committees.
