Description
The Department of Medicine, Cardiology Division of the University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking a board certified/board eligible Interventional Cardiologist at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level for it's Interventional Cardiology program. Structural heart disease experience is not required but will be considered specifically for candidates with experience in mitral and tricuspid valve intervention. This program currently consists of an 8-member clinical faculty group with high volumes of diagnostic, interventional, and structural cardiac procedures serving a 7-hospital health system that provides care throughout Upstate and Western New York. Candidates with experience and interest in high-risk PCI and mechanical circulatory support will be strongly considered as the medical center is a tertiary referral center supporting one of the largest VAD programs in the country and the only heart transplant program in Western and Upstate New York. The clinical program is complimented by a highly regarded cardiovascular clinical research program with substantial NIH and industry funding.
Qualifications
Must obtain a New York State Medical License prior to start date
Eligible for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry
Must meet all credentialing requirements
Eligible for Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology
Post Offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required
Compliance with University and New York State health requirements

The referenced pay range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
