8a-4:30p / Full Time / 40 Hours

The **Clinical Dietitian II-IP** assures continuity of care through effective decision making resulting in quality patient care.

+ Regularly conducts physical assessment on patients.

+ Completes annual literature review related to patient care population.

+ Coordinates with FNS and members of the multidisciplinary team to provide efficient, quality patient care.

+ Participates in Quality Improvement activities on clinical units to improve patient satisfaction scores.

+ Precepts and evaluates interns independently.

+ Develops and/or revises internship curriculum.

+ Provides guidance and training to staff and dietetic interns on completing physical assessment.

+ Develops and presents nutrition information in area of expertise to dietetic interns from Georgia State and Emory programs during skills development period per internship coordinator.

+ Serves as preceptor for internship seminars and/or intern case studies.

+ Identifies work process improvement opportunities and propose solutions.

+ Develops presentation and/or education materials for staff, hospital and/or community related function or health fair.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics.

+ One or more years experience in acute care setting as a clinical dietitian.

+ Registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

+ Licensed as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia.

+ Must maintain competency in adult and geriatric nutrition.

+ Competent in basic computer skills, including diet management software.
