    The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is currently seeking candidates for the position of RN QI (Quality Improvement Nurse) at Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA.

     

    Job Grade M

     

    Salary $84,353.00

     

    The Quality Improvement Nurse serves as a member of the Nursing Administration team and provides support to the hospital campus by assisting with quality assurance, quality enhancement and regulatory compliance. The position is responsible for assessing, auditing, and improving different aspects of nursing services including evaluation, training, compliance with departmental and hospital policies, and monitors for use of generally accepted best standards of practice. Works collaboratively with and provides mentoring to new and current, nursing staff in the delivery of quality nursing services. Works with executive and administrative staff to implement best practices in nursing across the organization

    Job Responsibilities

    • Asses nursing systems and practices across the hospital campus; analyzes, develops and implements audits to monitor quality of care and organizational effectiveness/efficiency

    • Conduct patient clinical record reviews to assess the appropriateness of care plan, the utilization of services and to ensure complete documentation of needed services provided by new clinical staff

    • Responsible for portions of clinical orientation of new clinical employees by providing one-on-one teaching and modeling of job duties

    • Demonstrates knowledge, comprehension, and compliance with all state and federal laws, rules and regulations, and agency policies and procedures, as well as the ability to enforce them

    • Demonstrates a sincere desire to continually improve and upgrade the skills and knowledge of the Nursing Staff through the provision of initial and continuing education.
