    Position Description:

    Analyzes and coordinates student records to ensure degree plan accuracy.

    Major/Essential Functions:

    + Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, campus policies, and administrative regulations.

    + Assist in analyzing student data and reports focused on new or ongoing initiatives.

    + Keep abreast of changing rules, techniques, technologies, and philosophies relevant to advising.

    + Review transcripts and other data to ensure students meet graduation requirements; including degree audits for Honors graduation.

    + Prepare reports on students as required by administration.

    + Assist with appropriate communication with students, faculty, etc. and documentation gathering to resolve referrals for student cases.

    + Assist with Honors College events, including convocation and Medallion ceremonies.

    + Assist in the coordination of the Honors College Medallion ceremony.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    *Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and high degree of openness to new approaches and new ideas.

    • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills.

    • Knowledge of FERPA and ethical principles in working with students.

    *Experience working with degree audits and/or advising.

    *Experience working with Honors College students, staff and/or faculty.

    *Fluency with technology (including experience with Banner, PeopleSoft, DegreeWorks, etc.)

    • Ability to interpret and apply program rules and regulations; ability to use initiative and resourcefulness in planning work assignments and in implementing long-range program improvements.
