Qualifications:
+ Minimum of Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Clinical/Counseling Psychology. Applicants with doctorate degrees in these disciplines will also be considered.
+ Must currently possess full licensure or ability to obtain full licensure for independent clinical practice in the State of Michigan.
+ Demonstrated high degree of sensitivity, interest, understanding, ability, knowledge and experience working with students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. This value is strongly endorsed and embraced by CAPS.
+ Three years of post licensure clinical experience, preferably in a University Counseling Center, working with individuals in varying states of emotional distress.
+ Sensitivity, creativity and an understanding of developmental issues of both traditional and nontraditional college students.
+ Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to give group presentations.
+ Strong organizational skills.
+ Reliable and innovative with customer service orientation.
+ Commitment to working with an enthusiastic and dedicated multidisciplinary team.
