Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has a full-time position in our Physical Medicine Department for a Physical Therapist (PT). The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating patients using a variety of techniques according to established standards of care.

Physical Therapist Responsibilities:

+ Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and consults with other specialists. Reviews patients’ functional needs and adjusts care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

+ Designs and implements a plan of care for patients based on a thorough assessment of potential development and incorporates participation by significant others whenever it seems appropriate.

+ Provides comprehensive patient treatment including but not limited to therapeutic exercise and manual techniques to promote healing, mobility, and return of functional activity.

+ 40 hours per week 8:00am-5:00pm; rotating weekends, holidays and on-call coverage.

Requirements:

+ Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited physical therapy program.

+ Must pass the National Physical Therapy Exam administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.

+ Current state of Iowa Physical Therapist license.

+ CPR certification and Iowa Mandatory Reporter training certifications are required as an employee.

Floyd Valley Healthcare has had a rich history of serving the healthcare needs of people in Le Mars, Iowa and the surrounding communities.
