We build enterprise products for Meta first.The ARC team works closely with Reality Labs Research teams to implement mid sized GPU clusters tailored to meet individual team needs. ARC is engaged at nearly every layer of the deployments beginning with hardware selection and design, all the way through deployment, configuration, and life cycle management.As one of the leading engineering teams in the enterprise world, our goal is to provide a solid foundation and platform for Meta businesses to build services and run workloads. As an Enterprise Systems Engineer on the Enterprise Messaging team, you will build the infrastructure for our high traffic, high visibility services. You will provide operational support for critical services that enable connected experiences found across Meta. We constantly review our processes, automate wherever possible, and develop our own toolchains when necessary.     Required Skills:

    Enterprise System Engineer Responsibilities:

    1. Build, scale, and secure the Linux environment within Meta enterprise infrastructure, a heterogeneous environment containing diverse operating systems and applications.

    2. Apply modern engineering methodologies such as Infrastructure-as-Code, container orchestration, and software-defined storage

    3. Design and implement systems that are scalable, automated, monitored, and well-documented

    4. Find ways to leverage the scale and complexity of the larger Meta production infrastructure to solve problems for enterprise customers

    5. Lead incident root cause analysis through multiple infrastructure layers (compute, storage, network) and act as a final escalation point

    6. Provide guidance to other engineers on best practices to build mature services which are highly available, reliable, secure, and scalable.

    7. Help others around you move faster by identifying issues and driving them to resolution.

    8. Influence outcomes within your immediate team, peer engineering teams, and with cross-functional stakeholders

    Minimum Qualifications:

    9. BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)

    10. 5+ years system engineering experience working in a Linux environment

    11. 5+ years experience coding in at least one of the following languages: PHP, Ruby, Python, or Go or equivalent

    12. 5+ years experience working with monitoring and configuration management tools such as Puppet and Chef or equivalent

    13. Experience automating the management of infrastructure and services

    14. Thorough understanding of Linux operating system internals

    15. Capacity to perform handle large projects simultaneously, and prioritize team roadmap and deliverables by balancing required effort with resulting impact

    17. Prior experience supporting configuration management in a multi-region environment

    Public Compensation:

    $169,000/year to $233,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
