Job Summary and Qualifications

Position responsibilities:

+ Performs duties according to education and training as assigned by the professional staff

+ Assists as directed in an emergency situation

+ Attends all unit meetings. If unable to attend, obtains information from minutes of meeting

+ Assists with performing routine maintenance of equipment

+ Assists with cleaning and sterilizing equipment as required

+ Performs efficiently with CPCS. Maintains ongoing training and proficiency with CPCS

+ Performs efficiently with eMar. Maintains ongoing training and proficiency with eMar

+ Provides age and culturally appropriate care

+ Attend Code of Conduct training course annually

+ Demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to HCA’s Code of Conduct

+ Understands and satisfies the needs of the patient population appropriate to the age of the patient served (adults, geriatric, adolescent, pediatric, and parents of neonates)

+ Adheres to the Standards of Behavior for Terre Haute Regional Hospital as per the Customer Relations Policy

Essential educational/licensure, skills and experience:

+ An individual who holds a student permit may only perform respiratory care procedures that have been part of a course:

+ The individual has successfully completed in the respiratory care program designated under Article 34.5-2-14 Student Permits, subsection (a) (3) of IC 25.

+ For which the successful completion has been documented and this is available upon request.

+ BCLS upon hire and maintained throughout employment

+ Student Respiratory Care permit
