Our client, operates in the automotive and transportation industry is seeking a Technical Facilities Lead Project Manager to join their team.
**Job Title:** Technical Facilities Lead Project Manager
**Location:** Greensboro, NC
**Pay Range:** $45 - $53
Summary of the Position: The Technical Facilities Lead Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects from concept through completion, including planning, scope definition, budgeting, execution, and project handover. The role focuses on project implementation using EPC delivery models but requires flexibility with other delivery methods. The position plays a key leadership role ensuring project objectives, stakeholder relationships, and Volvo expectations are met.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Balance big-picture project scope with detailed execution.
+ Plan, prioritize, and allocate resources effectively.
+ Apply gated project implementation processes to improve safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
+ Engage and lead project teams, resolving unexpected problems
+ Understand Volvo's business, organization, and regulations.
+ Manage daily interactions with Volvo teams to build trust and partnerships.
+ Anticipate internal client needs and propose solutions.
+ Address conflicts constructively while maintaining strong business relationships.
+ Provide independent, high-quality results with minimal guidance.
+ Deliver accurate project status, risk analysis, and mitigation plans
+ Develop project scope, budgets, and execution strategies.
+ Lead project risk analyses and implement mitigation strategies.
+ Manage change control processes effectively.
+ Ensure financial discipline and adherence to gated project processes.
+ Prepare and maintain project schedules from design through handover.
+ Forecast and resolve schedule risks proactively
+ Demonstrate integrity, initiative, and ownership.
+ Influence and empower teams to deliver results.
+ Act as a role model with excellent people and coaching skills.
+ Foster accountability and team growth.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
+ Minimum of 15 years of project design, execution, and management experience.
+ At least 5 years of industrial processes design experience with technical understanding across process, mechanical, electrical, controls, civil/structural/architectural disciplines.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and project management software.
+ Strong experience managing EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects.
+ Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
+ Desired: Memberships/certifications in PMI, CII, CMAA, or similar.
