Job Description
The purpose of this position is to provide skilled occupational therapy services to the guests and residents of Immanuel Living

> Attend work regularly and follow established work schedule. Manage use of work time wisely, ensuring that overtime is pre-approved by the Director of Rehabilitation, or in his/her absence, the Therapy Office Coordinator.
Specific Duties
> Provide skilled occupational therapy intervention as described in the treatment plan.
> Follow treatment plans and direction as communicated by supervisor.
> Attend care conferences as needed to assist in developing and revising the guest/resident care plans.
> Participate in Medicare, admissions, and monthly Rehabilitation Department meetings.
> Work and coordinate with all team members to meet guest/residents’ needs.
> Serve as an integral part of the interdisciplinary treatment team, facilitating a unified approach to guest/resident treatment.
> Ensure occupational therapy programs are regularly updated in a manner which will most effectively benefit guests/residents.
> Train staff members in specific techniques related to each guest/residents’ individual needs.
> Develop restorative programs and train restorative aides to carry out these programs.
> Serve as a consultant of Immanuel Living on relevant issues, such as ADLs and self-feeding.
> Work different shifts, including weekends, to provide optimal guest/resident care.
> Work independently, while prioritizing duties and responsibilities, taking on additional assignments, maintaining accuracy and timeliness with documentation, and demonstrating the ability to problem solve.
Requirements
Education and Experience
> Graduation from high school or GED preferred
> Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Professional Licenses or Certifications Required by Law
> Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of Montana
> Current CPR certification
Essential Mental and Physical Requirements
> The incumbent must be at least 18 years of age, as position operates potentially hazardous equipment.
> The incumbent must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work under time and/or deadline pressures.
> Required vision abilities include close up and distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
