Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half is on the lookout for a diligent Employee Relationship Specialist to join our team in the Food & Food Processing industry, based in MILWAUKIE, Oregon. As an Employee Relationship Specialist, you will be instrumental in fostering a harmonious work environment through proactive relationship building, conflict resolution, and employee development. You will also contribute to enhancing organizational policies, practices, and procedures in line with our values of respect, teamwork, accountability, and determination.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain proactive relationships with employees to cultivate a positive work environment.

• Address and resolve conflicts in a productive manner to ensure a safe workspace.

• Collaborate with managers to understand their needs and department goals, and assist with employee inquiries and development opportunities.

• Facilitate employee leadership and development training to enhance team capabilities.

• Analyze exit survey and interview data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality to protect employee information.

• Comply with all company policies and procedures while ensuring a safe and food-safe work environment.

• Track and manage attendance for Operations departments.

• Collaborate with managers in resolving conflicts through various means such as mediating discussions, individual coaching, and designing individual development plans.

• Recommend and implement conflict resolution practices that align with equity and inclusivity goals.

• Assess conflict trends and analyze retention trends to propose and implement mitigating measures including training programs.

Requirements • Demonstrated experience in the Food & Food Processing industry

• Prior role as an Employee Relationship Specialist or similar

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now platform

• Experience with Ceridian software

• Ability to effectively utilize CRM tools

• Knowledge of Dayforce system

• Experience with 401k - RRSP Administration

• Auditing skills, particularly in relation to employee relations

• Understanding of Benefit Functions within a business context

• Ability to manage Claim Administration tasks

• Experience with Cobra Administration in a detail oriented setting
