• Head Wrestling Coach

    Shenandoah University (Winchester, VA)


    Shenandoah University, an NCAA Division III institution and a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference is searching for qualified applicants for a full-time Wrestling coach position. This is a 10-month/Full-time position with benefits located on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.

    Responsibilities

    The head coach is responsible for administering all aspects of the sport program including:

    + Coaching, recruiting, game scheduling and travel

    + Budget management, equipment and inventory

    + Academic monitoring, community service/engagement, and alumni communication.

    + Promoting an atmosphere for compliance with NCAA DIII, ODAC, and University rules/regulations.

    + Secondary responsibilities assigned by the Athletic Director.

    Required Skills

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and five or more years of experience coaching wrestling.

     

    Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and five or more years of experience coaching collegiate wrestling. Experience starting a new wrestling program.

     

    Certification in First Aid, AED, and CPR.
