Academic Year: 2024-2025
Nature of Duties:
Under general supervision, prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited technical/occupational courses; prepares standardized course syllabi using a provided template; assesses students’ satisfactory progress based on established course grading requirements. May be required to attend professional development training as required for specific classroom or online course delivery. Teaches Drafting courses in a classroom/lab/field/online environment that closely simulates the industry environment while maintaining knowledge of current trends and developments in the field. Provides instruction in the theory and practical applications of Drafting. Measures program or departmental student learning outcomes for continuous student improvement and success. Requires strong computer skills, communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse student population.
Selected c andidates must be able to work m orning or evening hours, Monday through Thursday .
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Drafting or Computer Aided Design (CAD) AND Three (3) out of the past seven (7) years of field experience.
• Associate’s degree in Drafting or Computer Aided Design (CAD) AND five (5) or more years of direct experience
• Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:
• Directly related teaching experience
• Online teaching experience
Salary/Benefits:
• $25.00 per contact hour.
• All adjunct positions are part-time, temporary positions. Hours are offered based on student enrollment each semester.
• Adjunct positions do not include benefits or a promise of future full-time employment.

To be considered for the Adjunct Pool, applicants must upload transcripts, resumes, and certifications with their application. Adjunct Pool applications are for the current academic year, and a new application is required each academic year. Adjuncts are paid on a per-contact-hour basis. All courses are online unless otherwise indicated. Face-to-face courses may be offered Monday through Thursday during both morning and evening hours. The campus location for this pool is the Carroll Campus.
