• Pre Authorization Specialist

    Our client, _a global leader supporting_ _healthcare solutions & biomedical manufacturing industry,_ is seeking a **Pre-Authorization Specialist** to join their team.This position is a **6-Month Contract** , **fully remote** , must be able to work **EST** . The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

     

    **Job Title:** Pre-Authorization Specialist

    **Location:** Fully Remote, EST Time Zone

    **Pay Range:** $25.20/hour + Benefits

    **Contract Duration:** 6-Month, potential to extend and/or hire on permanently

    Job Function:

    + Perform proficient benefit verification and pre-authorization functions with insurance carriers for new pre-surgical cases submitted to the Pre-Authorization Support Department

    + Coordinate the initial intake of physician and facility requests to secure prior authorization for service

    + Create electronic folders for new patients and organize patient medical records in preparation for prior authorization and appeals process

    + Answer incoming calls and provide appropriate call/case handling

    + Utilize proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office and database management to document case status, actions, and outcome

    Required Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma

    + Minimum 2-3 years of **RECENT** Insurance Pre-Authorization experience

    + Experience working with various payors including, Medicare, Medicaid and Private Payor, as it relates to medical procedures, services, and devices

    + Experience building effective relationships with internal and external customers

    + High speed internet and office home setting required
